  • EXHIBITION OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS BY MASTER ANTANAS BUTKUS

Antanas Butkus, a researcher of historical musical instruments from the region of Lithuania Minor, reconstructed instruments of Lithuania Minor, based on written sources, drawings, and his own experiments. The instrument maker restored musical instruments used by the Prussian Lithuanians: the psalterium (psalter, psaltery), the horn-trumpet, a drum of rare construction, the whistle, the shepherd's pipe.

In 2022, the instrumental music tradition of Lithuania Minor was included in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Lithuania.
