How does a tree become a spoon? Spoon carving demonstration with master craftsman Stanislovas Meškauskas

On September 10th, we invite you to a fun and creative afternoon in the courtyard of the Klaipėda Ethnoculture Center (Daržų St. 10)!

From 10 AM to 12 PM and from 4 PM to 6 PM, you will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the craft of spoon carving. In the  Ethnoculture Center display  features a wonderful exhibition titled "The Joy of the Hostess," showcasing turned and carved wooden dishes and kitchen utensils. This time, you will have the chance to see how a wooden spoon is born—right before your eyes!

The talented craftsman Stanislovas Meškauskas will share his expertise with you. He will not only demonstrate the intricacies of carving but also will answer all your questions! This is a great opportunity to test your skills, try out the craft of carving, and get a closer look at both traditional and contemporary carvings.
